Mortimer Barten has been a Techno-DJ and live performer for over 15 years. His sets and sounds put out a soulful groove, and it's clear he loves what he does. Every beat is pure dance music, sometimes melodic, sometimes dark and technoid.
Mortimer has released several successful tracks and is constantly working on new projects. His music is inspired by the early techno scene and incorporates modern influences to create his own unmistakable sound: Fusion Techno. With his passion for electronic music and his talent as a performer, Mortimer Barten is a name to be reckoned with in the German techno scene.
He started out as a drummer, playing in bands from punk to pop. The rise of electronic dance music in the 90s led him to fall head over heels with techno music. He rediscovered the art of DJing later on, around 2009, and maintains a solid collection of vinyl records. As a live performer, he plays self-produced tracks with a hybrid live setup, playing a compact mixture of hardware synthesizers, controllers and a laptop. It's live, and it's still Techno!
Since 2018, Mortimer supports the local community with an Ableton User Group. As Ableton Certified Trainer he guides students on their learning path as artists and producers.

Als Live-Performer spielt er selbst produzierte Tracks mit einem hybriden Live-Setup, einer kompakten Mischung aus Hardware-Synthesizern, Controllern und Laptop. Das ist wie Techno - nur halt live!
